Founded in 1495, the University of Aberdeen has a student population of over 15,000 and a large international community of students drawn from 120 countries. The nearby the Aberdeen Sports Village provides state of the art indoor and outdoor facilities for a wide range of sports at all levels and abilities, including from 2014 the Olympic-standard Aberdeen Aquatic Centre.
