South Ural State University

South Ural State University (SUSU), located in Chelyabinsk, is one of the largest higher education institutions in Russia. Being a National Research University and a participant of Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100, SUSU is known for its commitment to excellence. It is among the top-ten of the Russian classical universities according to the National University Ranking (“Social Navigator” project by “Russia Today”). Over 28 000 students come from 48 different countries, the learning and research environment is supported by over 2 200 lecturers, professors and researchers, most of them are recognized nationally and abroad. The University implements more than 190 academic programs in its 3 High Schools and 7 Institutes. Supercomputing, engineering, natural sciences and life sciences are high priority research areas for the University.
