Shakarim University

Shakarim University was founded in 1995 as a result of the unification of pedagogical, veterinary, and technological, inheriting their long and rich history. The Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute was one of the oldest in the country educated in 1934, the Semipalatinsk Zoo Veterinary Institute was opened in 1952, and the Semipalatinsk Institute of Technology leads its history with the opening in 1963 of the Semipalatinsk branch of the Dzhambul Technological Institute.
