L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University

L.N. Gumilyov ENU is a leading academic, research, and cultural centre, founded in 1996 by the Decree of N.A.Nazarbayev. ENU is a member of International Association of University, European University Association, Shanghai Copperation Organization etc. There is a three level system of student training in the ENU Bachelor, Master and PhD programs in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences in Kazakh, Russian, English, Chinese, French, German and Turkish languages, taught by international faculty from 40 countries to students from 23 countries. The university consists of 13 departments. The students implement their research skills in modern, well-equipped facilities like Geotechnical Scientific Research Institute, Institute of Cell Biology and Biotechnology, Laboratory of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Open Engineering Laboratory etc. The university closely Copperates with leading high-ranked HEI such as Trinity College Dublin, Lund University, Uppsala University, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Cardiff University, Lomonosov MSU etc. in the framework of double-diploma programs, academic mobility and internship. The students are actively involved in joint research projects (TEMPUS, Erasmus, STUDIC) in nuclear physics, informatics, mathematics, Humanitarians sciences.

The mission is to become a leading research and education centre of the Eurasian region, which will provide favourable conditions for conducting research and acquiring advanced knowledge; and will train specialists to develop the priority sectors of the economy and be accountable to the Government and to society for the outcome of their activities.
