Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (often called the Aristotelian University or University of Thessaloniki) is the sixth oldest and among the most highly-ranked tertiary education institutions in Greece. It is the largest university in Greece and in the Balkans. It is named after the philosopher Aristotle, who was born in Stageira, about 55 km east of Thessaloniki. Its campus covers 230,000 square metres in the centre of Thessaloniki, with additional educational and administrative facilities elsewhere.

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) is the largest University in Greece, comprising 7 Faculties organized into 33 Schools, 5 single-School Faculties, as well as 4 independent Schools. 41 out of the 42 AUTh`s Schools offer a bachelor degree. The School of Mathematics, Physics and Computational Sciences consists of Academic staff but has no students. It supports in teaching activities other Schools of the University. The undergraduate studies at all public Higher Education Institutions are tuition-free for all.
