Ravi Jaipuria
India’s cola king, Ravi Jaipuria, presides over $1.7 billion (revenue) drinks and foods group RJ Corp.
His flagship Varun Beverages is PepsiCo‘s second-biggest bottler and was listed in October 2016.
Jaipuria also owns fast-food outfit Devyani International, a franchisee for brands such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee and TWG Tea.
The youngest of three brothers, Jaipuria studied in the US and returned home in 1985 to join the family business as a bottler for Coca Cola.
After a family division in 1987, in which he got one bottling plant as his share, he switched to PepsiCo.
