Vinod Khosla

Vinod Khosla is an Indian American billionaire businessman and venture capitalist. He is a co-founder of Sun Microsystems, LS9, Inc and the founder of Khosla Ventures. In 2014, Forbes named him amongst the 400 richest people in the United States.

Vinod Khosla is the founder of Khosla Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm.

His firm, Khosla Ventures, invests in experimental technologies such as biomedicine and robotics.

Khosla cofounded computer hardware firm Sun Microsystems in 1982 with Andy Bechtolsheim, Bill Joy and Scott McNealy.

Khosla spent 18 years at venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (now called Kleiner Perkins) before launching his own fund.

In June 2019, Khosla said he believes artificial intelligence could replace traditional industries such as radiology and music.
