Huang Zhenda chairs Guangdong Lian Tai Group, which is active in construction, toll road operation, property development and sewage treatment.

Huang was a construction worker before he founded Shantou Dahao Municipal Engineering Corp. in 1984, the predecessor to Guangdong Lian Tai Group.
