Semahat Sevim Arsel is a Turkish billionaire businesswoman. She is a director of Koç Holding, and the eldest child of its founder, Vehbi Koç.

Semahat Sevim Arsel is an heir to the Koc family fortune. She’s the oldest member of the clan and the largest shareholder in its main holding company.

Besides energy, automotive, durable consumer goods and finance, Koc is active in technology, food, retail, tourism, agriculture and shipbuilding.

Semahat Arsel manages the tourism investments of Koc Holding (Setur Tourism and Divan hotels). Her husband, Dr. Nusret Arsel, died in 2014 at age 92.

He left all his wealth to the Vehbi Koc Foundation, named for his wife’s father. Semahat Arsel is president of the foundation.

She is Turkey’s richest woman. Her siblings, Rahmi Koc and Suna Kirac, are also billionaires.
