Evonik Industries AG is an industrial corporation headquartered in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, the largest specialty chemicals company in the world, owned by RAG Foundation. It was created on 12 September 2007 as a result of restructuring of the mining and technology group RAG.

Evonik Industries AG operates as a holding company, which engages in the manufacture of specialty chemical products. It operates through the following segments: Nutrition & Care, Resource Efficiency, Performance Materials, and Services. The Nutrition & Care segment includes applications for everyday consumer goods as well as animal nutrition and health care. The Resource Efficiency segment supplies high-performance materials for environmentally friendly and energy-efficient systems to the automotive, paints and coatings, adhesives, construction, and other industries. The Performance Materials segment produces polymer materials and intermediates, mainly for the rubber, plastics and agriculture industries. The Services segment comprises site services, process technology and administrative services. The company was founded in September 2007 and is headquartered in Essen, Germany.
