Chey Tae-won

Chey Tae-won is a South Korea billionaire businessman. He is the chairman of SK Group, Korea’s third largest chaebol, that mainly engages in the provision of semiconductors, oil, telecommunication services, chemical, etc.

  • The group’s SK Telecom is South Korea’s No. 1 mobile carrier; its SK Hynix is the country’s second largest chip maker.

  • Chey is a nephew of SK Group founder Chey Jong-gun, who started the conglomerate with a textile company called Sunkyong.
