Thammasat University, the second oldest university in Thailand, is one of the best known and respected institution of higher education in Thailand. Officially found in June 1934, the university was named and recognized after the philosophy of teaching moral science and politics. Today, TU, facilitated by four campuses within Thailand, is an comprehensive university which expands to provide world-class learning environment in Humanity, Social sciences, Health sciences, and Science and Technology, . TU offers over 240 academic programs in 23 faculties and colleges. Being a renowned research university, Thammasat Unversity emphasizes upon producing research across various disciplines and also aims at gearing towards internationalization. The ratio of international programs offered has increasingly grown to be more than 27 % . More importantly, Thammasat University is consistently recognized and awarded with various types of honors and rewards nationally and internationally. Thammasat Business School has been awarded the prestigious European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation. Thammasat ?s Sirindhorn Institute of Technology is also rated ?very good? for research outcomes and measured as equivalent international journal papers published by Thailand Research Fund. Recently, 8 faculty members and researchers from Thammasat University were awarded in the 41st International Exhibition of Invention of Geneva, during 10-14 April 2013.
