Robert Kraft

Robert Kenneth Kraft is an American businessman. He is the chairman and chief executive officer of the Kraft Group, a diversified holding company with assets in paper and packaging, sports and entertainment, real estate development and a private equity portfolio.

  • Robert Kraft bought the New England Patriots for $172 million in 1994; it is now worth $4.1 billion and has six Super Bowl wins.
  • Kraft, who sold newspapers outside the old Braves Stadium in Boston as a kid, made an early fortune in paper and packaging.
  • Today his sports empire also includes the New England Revolution MLS club and a stake in mixed martial arts promoter Ultimate Fighting Championship.
  • In August 2017, he started a professional videogaming team in Boston, part of the Overwatch e-sports league.
  • In 2019, he pledged $20 million to fight hate crimes and Antisemitism in the wake of the Tree of Life shooting in October 2018.
  • In February 2019 Kraft was charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution in Jupiter, Florida. He pled not guilty. The case is ongoing.
