Luo Jye
Luo Jye was a Taiwanese billionaire, founder of Cheng Shin Rubber, the world’s ninth largest tire manufacturer. At the time of his death, he was the sixth richest person in Taiwan.
- Luo, who founded tire maker Cheng Shin Rubber, died in March 2019.
- Established in 1967, the company started as a tire supplier to Taiwan’s then-expanding bicycle industry.
- It is one of the world’s largest makers of tires and tubes for motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, cars, bicycles, forklifts and lawn equipment.
- Today the company, known as CST, is run by his son Lo Tsai-Jen.
