Lars Larsen
Lars Kristinus Larsen was a Danish businessman, owner and founder of the Jysk retail chain.
- Lars Larsen, founder of bedding and furnishing chain JYSK, died of liver cancer in August 2019 at the age of 71.
- Larsen grew up on a potato farm and apprenticed in a bedding store before opening his first store in Denmark in 1979.
- Today, JYSK has more than 2,600 stores across 50 countries.
- Lars Larsen Group also owns several other furniture companies, hotels and a sushi chain.
- His son Jacob Brunsborg is the chairman of the board.
