George Kaiser
George B. Kaiser is an American businessman. He is the chairman of BOK Financial Corporation in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is among the 100 richest people in the world and was, in 2012, one of the top 50 American philanthropists.
- George took over his family’s Kaiser-Francis Oil Company in the 1960s.
- Kaiser bought Bank of Oklahoma in 1991 for $60 million; he owns about 54% of the publicly-traded bank.
- Kaiser has donated more than $4 billion to his charitable foundations, which focus on early childhood education.
- In 2018 Kaiser opened The Gathering Place, a 66-acre park in Tulsa that’s the largest public park in the country built with private funds.
