Bob Bogaert

Bob is a passionate entrepreneur with expertise in financial services, online payments and online games. He holds dual masters degrees in General Economics and Eastern Languages & Cultures. Bob kicked off his career as a project manager in Tencent‘s Shanghai gaming studio and soon moved to Shenzhen to join their business development team. During his tenure at Tencent, he won the prestegious internal GURU challenge and built partnerships between 30+ European game studios including Rovio and Mojang. He later transitioned to Moovent Animation as Production Manager for the feature film Hero Quest. While at Moovent, Bob led the acquisition of Huacan Studios. In 2015, Bob co-founded an innovative payments platform called ClearCut, and drove its metrics from 4 to 200 events per month. In 2017, Bob lead a partial acquisition of AsiaStuff Media. His diverse route through the online services and fintech space paved the way for him to co-found Portfolio.io in 2018. Bob’s heroes are people like Paul Samuelson, Jack Bogle and Masayoshi Son.
