University of Valladolid
The University of Valladolid (UVa) is a Spanish public university founded in 1241 as removal of studies at the University of Palencia, founded by Alfonso VIII of Castile, between 1208 and 1212. It is responsible for teaching higher education in seven campuses distributed through four cities of Castile and Leon: Valladolid, Palencia, Soria and Segovia.
Valladolid has not only managed to preserve its history but more importantly has been able to adapt to the 21st century, to become a magnificent city as reflected in the guide “Valladolid. Gran ciudad” (Valladolid, a Great City). This has meant facing up to challenges and risks as well as undertaking major commitments, such as those we offer our students, and which we present in this guide. We at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Institutional Relations, and specifically at the International Relations Office directed by Mar Fern?ndez Sainz, have pleasure in offering you this Foreign Students’ Guide as your first contact with our university, aimed at guiding and helping any foreign students who wish to study at the University of Valladolid, providing you with an insight into the services and facilities at your disposal together with the scientific and cultural resources available.
