The Brush Turbogenerators business unit designs and manufactures generators and electricity generating equipment for the power generation, industrial, oil and gas, and offshore sectors. It incorporates Hawker Siddeley Switchgear, produces indoor and outdoor medium voltage switchgear. This business unit also develops DC Circuit Breaker Technology for rail/transit systems and mining applications. The Marelli Motori business unit manufactures industrial generators and electric motors. The Lifting segment designs and manufactures lifting, lifting fittings and blocks and material handling equipments through Bridon, Crosby and Acco business units. This segment also offers solutions for applications in wire rope, fibre rope, steel wire and strand. It serves the oil and gas production, mining, petrochemical, alternative energy and general construction markets. The Other Industrial segment designs and manufactures fenestration products, including windows and patio doors utilized in both the new construction, and repair and remodel residential markets through Truth business unit. This segment also offers equipment solutions through Harris business unit and serves the scrap metal and fiber recycling industries. The Elster segment manufactures and supplies integrated metering and utilization solutions to the gas, electricity and water industries.
