Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas
Founded in 1930, the Gubkin University takes its name from Ivan Gubkin, a Russian geologist who contributed to the country`s major oil discoveries of the last century. Today it is one of the five largest research institutes in Russia, and one of a growing global network of academic partners who receive funding for scholarships and research from the industry leaders. Gubkin University has been training more than 90,000 graduates, candidates and doctors of science since 1930. International students from foreign countries were initially enrolled in 1947. Now over 5000 international graduates are employed in 114 countries around the globe.
