Baku State University
Baku State University (BSU) is the oldest and biggest university of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It has been established in 1919. Now BSU offers 17 majors with bachelor, master and PhD degrees. BSU operations have been based on both abroad spectrum and extensive international contacts in science. Number of students: 18 000 (approximately) Academic staff: 1500 Faculties: 17 Research Institutes: 2 Research Laboratories: 24 BSU is a member of such authoritative associations and institutions as Eurasian Universities Association, Association of Universities of Caspian Sea States, Black Sea Universities Network, etc.
The University`s faculty and staff have always chosen on the basis of their supportive position as citizens. Their loyalty to the traditions of higher education, spiritual, moral purity and a high level of professionalism has always resulted in contentment among Azerbaijani society. Society has always viewed BSU with deep respect and held it in the highest esteem.
