Asr Nederland

ASR Nederland is a major Dutch insurance group based in Utrecht. The company was created in its current form in 2008 when the insurance business was split out of Fortis, after it was acquired by the Dutch government during the Financial crisis of 2007-2010.

ASR Nederland NV engages in the provision of insurance and investment products and services. It operates in the following segments: Non-life, Life, Banking and Asset Management, Distribution and Services, and Holding and Other. The Non-life segment provides insurance for disability, health, property, and casualty. The Life segment offers individual and group insurance; savings-linked mortgages and annuities; term, savings, and funeral insurance. The Banking and Asset Management segment consists of banking activities; and asset management activities including investment property management. The Distribution and Services segment includes activities related to the distribution of insurance contracts. The Holding and Other segment consists of the holding activities of ASR Nederland N.V., other holding and intermediate companies, and the activities of ASR Deelnemingen N.V. The company was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
