Worldpay Group plc was a payment processing company. It was acquired by FIS in July 2019 for $43 billion. It was listed on the London Stock Exchange until 16 January 2018 when it was acquired by Vantiv to form Worldpay, Inc.

Worldpay, Inc. operates as an investment holding company with interest in electronic payment processing services. It provides electronic payment processing services to merchants and financial institutions all over the world. It operates business through two segments: Merchant Services and Financial Institution Services. The Merchant Services segment provides merchant acquiring and payment processing services to large nationalmerchants, regional and small-to-mid sized businesses through both direct and indirect distribution channels. These services include all aspects of card processing including authorization and settlement, customer service, chargeback and retrieval processing and interchange management. The Financial Institution Services segment provides card issuer processing, payment network processing, fraud protection, card production, prepaid program management, automated teller machine driving and network gateway and switching services that utilize the company’s proprietary Jeanie PIN debit payment network to a diverse set of financial institutions, including regional banks, community banks, credit unions and regional personal identification number networks. The company was founded in 1971 and is headquartered in Cincinnati, OH.
