Siberian Federal University is dedicated to make a contribution to innovative development of Russia and Siberian Federal District. SibFU is committed to upgrade national security and competitiveness at the world market of science and technologies. Siberian Federal University trains highly-qualified specialists for the three basic economic clusters: Mining – Metallurgy Cluster, Fuel and Power Cluster and IT Cluster for Aerospace Industry.

The main objectives of Siberian Federal University are: to implement innovative educational programmes integrated into the world educational space, based on the University teaching, research, innovation and international work, systematic study of consumers and other interested parties demands; to establish corporate culture contributing to the staff motivation to improve the quality of their work, develop the processes of self-organisation in the subdivisions and among students, involve the students into the processes of quality assurance; – to do fundamental and applied research and R&D work aimed at the production and commercialization of research outcomes; to develop long-term mutually beneficial relationships with interested partners based on principles of trust and understanding, study, forecast and formation of the intellectual labour market demands; to educate in students the necessary civil and moral qualities, respect to the history of Russia, independent and critical thinking, ability for life-long learning; to develop the University facilities, introduce modern equipment, new information technologies and telecommunication systems into education and research process.
