Northeast Normal University (China)
Founded in 1946, NENU was formerly named Northeast University. It was the first comprehensive university established by the Chinese Communist Party, which was located in Changchun in 1949. One year later, its name was changed to Northeast Normal University in order to serve the cause of the development of national education.
