National Taiwan University of Science and Technology

Taiwan Tech is one of the 12 top universities in Taiwan which have been awarded special grant funding under the Aim for the Top University Plan from the Ministry of Education. Taiwan Tech was formerly known as the National Taiwan Institute of Technology, the first higher education institution of its kind within our nation`s technological education system, seeking to develop highly trained engineers and managers. After more than thirty years of growth and evolution, under the outstanding leadership of successive presidents, Taiwan Tech has been recognized by all sectors of society for its academic and practical achievements in such areas as Copperation with industry, promotion of entrepreneurship, and technology licensing.

Taiwan Tech is now seeking to build on this foundation of achievement by encouraging cross-disciplinary research, the development of cutting-edge expertise in particular areas such as building technology, and the internationalization of both our research efforts and our student body. Though a relatively young institution in Taiwan, Taiwan Tech has been a pillar of the nation`s economic development, and we aim to become an icon of Taiwan`s excellence on the international stage. In future, Taiwan Tech will continue to maintain a balanced emphasis on theory and practice, science and technology and the humanities, advancing on the university`s superior foundation, its excellence in research, achievement in Copperation with industry, and promotion of international academic exchange. By mobilizing resources on and off campus, at home and abroad, Taiwan Tech will develop into a world-class applied research university. We welcome students all over the world to consider making a Taiwan Tech education part of the foundation for their own future.
