The university trains specialists for industrial and scientific sphere. It trains specialists, bachelors and masters on; 23 educational programs of higher professional education, doctors of sciences on 10 specialities, research workers of corresponding disciplines in the following branches of science: technical, art studies, economic, biological. A great volume of fundamental scientific research is carried out at the university . Among priority directions – nanotechnology and nanomaterials, technologies of creation of new generations of space-rockets, aviation and sea techniques, environment monitoring, polymers and composites, nature protection technologies, processing and recycling of technogenic formations and wastes, technologies of deep processing of domestic raw materials and materials in light industry, new materials and chemical technologies, industrial technologies.
