Kazuo Okada
Kazuo Okada is a Japanese billionaire businessman, and art collector. Okada was formerly an executive at Wynn Resorts, and co-founder and former chairman of the Universal Entertainment Corporation, until his ouster in 2017 after allegations of financial mismanagement.
In 2017, Kazuo Okada was sued by his company, Universal Entertainment following an internal investigation after reports of alleged “fraudulent acts.”
Okada could not be reached for a comment on the charges.
Okada founded Universal Entertainment, which manufactures and sells pachinko machines and casino equipment, in 1969.
Formerly known as Aruze Corporation, Universal Entertainment trades on the Japan Stock Exchange.
An art enthusiast, Okada possesses art from Japan, China and Korea, which are displayed at The Okada Museum of Art in Hakone, Japan.
