Perm State University

Perm State National Research University is the oldest university in the Ural region. It was founded in 1916 and soon became the foundation for the higher education system of the Western Ural. In 2010 Perm State University was assigned the status of National Research University, highlighting its reputation as one of the leading Russian universities. It is classical multidisciplinary university as well. The wide variety of educational programs in human and natural sciences are provided in such attractive fields as Microbiology, Pharmacy, Geoinformatics, Tourism, Economic geography, Computer science, Nanotechnologies and microsystem technology, Innovation and financial management, Applied philology, Sociolinguistics, Geology and petroleum geochemistry, Master in Finance & Information Technology (available in English) and etc. There are several world-class laboratories in the university. PhD programs are represented by such perspective areas as Genetics, Immunology (including clinical), Meteorology, Engineering geology, Ecology, Eco-geology, Organic chemistry, Law and etc.
